We treat your privacy as the default, not a setting you have to find. The rule is simple: collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we must, and never sell it or trade it. We are a licensed gaming operator, so where a specific law or binding order compels it we may have to retain or disclose narrow categories of data, explained under disclosure below; everything else stays minimal by design. This policy sets out, in plain language, exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and what we will and will not do with it. High Score Limited ("we", "us", the "Operator") is the controller of the data described here.
We only collect what the waitlist and the sale actually need. Email address: to hold your place in the founding 10,000, confirm your spot, and send you sale updates. For the waitlist, this is the only thing we ask for. Google sign-in (optional): if you choose to continue with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile, your name and avatar, from Google; we never receive your Google password. Wallet address (optional): if you connect MetaMask or Phantom, we record your public wallet address so we can tie your spot, and later your allocation, to it; connecting is read-only, and we never see, request, or store your private keys, seed phrase, or funds, and we cannot move anything from your wallet. Referral data: your referral code and the code of whoever invited you, so your leaderboard standing works. Minimal technical data: like any website, our servers briefly process your IP address and browser type to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; we do not use it to build a profile of you.
The data we choose not to collect matters as much as the data we do. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, ever; there is no scenario in which your data is the product. We run no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, no behavioural analytics, and no cross-site trackers; we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party profiling tool. We do not track what you do across the web, and we do not build advertising profiles of you. We do not ask for any personal data beyond an email address to join the waitlist.
We use the minimum needed to make the site work, and nothing for advertising. We set two short-lived functional cookies (g_state and g_ref) only when you sign in with Google, to complete that sign-in securely and carry your referral through it; they expire within minutes and are cleared the moment sign-in finishes. Your browser's local storage holds your referral code so you stay recognised when you return; it lives on your device, not on a tracking server, and you can clear it at any time. We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.
The waitlist asks for an email and nothing more, and taking part in the token sale does not require KYC or identity documents. Eligibility is confirmed by self-attestation: you confirm you are not a US person, a sanctioned person, or a resident of a restricted jurisdiction. We never ask you to upload a government ID or proof of address to take part. We reserve the right to request verification only in the narrow case where a specific law or binding legal order requires it.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the waitlist and the sale. We hold the minimum, and we delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless we are legally required to retain it.
We do not sell or share your personal data for anyone else's commercial benefit. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate, for example an email-delivery provider to send your confirmation and infrastructure hosting to run the site; they process data only on our written instructions, under contract, and only for that purpose. Beyond that, we disclose personal data to authorities only where we are required to by our gaming licence, by applicable law, or by a valid and binding legal order. We do not hand data over voluntarily; when compelled, we disclose only the specific data the order requires; and where we are permitted to tell you, we will. The strongest privacy protection is not holding data in the first place, which is why we minimise what we collect.
We keep waitlist data, your email, referral code, and any connected wallet address, for as long as your spot is active or until you ask us to delete it. We do not collect identity documents to take part in the sale. Where a specific law or binding order requires us to retain a record, we keep only what is required and no longer. Short-lived cookies and technical logs are discarded promptly.
Whatever your jurisdiction, we extend the same rights to everyone. You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted; and you can withdraw your consent and leave the waitlist at any time. Where a specific law or binding order requires us to retain certain records, we will tell you and keep only what is required. To exercise any of these, email support@degens.gg.
We operate globally, and some of our service providers may process data in a country other than your own. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your data stays protected to the standard set out in this policy.
The waitlist and the sale are strictly for adults: you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the date above, and we will communicate material changes through the platform. The version published here always governs.
